Weight loss mantra: "It's all in your mind"

By Stuart William

Step 1: It's frustrating and dangerous to be obese. You go ahead and meet a health expert who gives the secrets of an obesity treatment by checking the BMI index. Be it a weight loss surgery or a diet pill treatment, be it the Atkins diet or the other famous South Beach diet, with the diet plan you bring home comes a lot of optimism and a vision to accomplish weight loss.

Step 2: In two or three months you haven't lost enough weight to be proud of. Or say, you did reduce in the first two months of treatment but once you discontinued the diet plan, all the weight loss dreams shattered. It's time to blame the gastric bypass surgery which is in high demand or pills like Phentermine or Xenical which have gained much popularity. You conclude saying, I tried my best.

Step 3: No. It's entirely your fault. If you have approached an expert medical practitioner to take advice on obesity treatment procedures and have faithfully swallowed the pill on time without any efforts, you still have more to do in order to help the diet plan work. It's not just the treatment that works wonders. By taking a pill every day or by undergoing a weight loss bariatric surgery, you are not ready to let loose your life on unhealthy foods ever after.

The weight loss mantra is "It's all in your mind."

Step 4: Determination, you should have the determination to lose weight and bring it down to a comfortable level which suits your personality. Don't depend heavily on diet pills or Atkins but show what you can do to help yourself. Take a walk, it should keep you active and help reduce a few calories. Cut down the high calorie foods which have ruined your life and made you vulnerable to diseases like diabetes and hypertension linked to obesity. Take care of your eating habits by including more fruits for life and vegetables for energy. A little effort from your part makes a whole lot of difference on your weight. It's vital that you control obesity but it's also important that you know where the true weight loss mantra delves. And it rests with YOU.
