RecoveryPets.Com's Pet Tag With Unique ID Number

By Thaddeus Collins

Recently there has been a major breakthrough to solve the problems associated with the common pet tag, a company named RecoveryPets.Com has devised a way to provide all the information needed to identify the pet, and owner’s contact information in one central location. By providing a pet tag with a unique identification number on it, and their website address, all the information that would not be able to fit on the pet tag is located on the website. This information includes the pets’ name, a description of the pet plus photograph, and up to ten contact sources to reach the pets’ owner.

The pet identification tag is not a new invention for identifying the wearer, it is commonly called a dog tag, and is usually worn around the collar of most pets. But, this type of identification has its limitations and the most obvious is it has to be repurchased whenever the owners move or change their contact information. Another of these limitations is that it can only contain so much information, which limits the amount of help it can provide if the pet should ever become lost. But, the greatest benefit of the pet tag is its universal recognition; almost every person in the world can find and recognize the common pet identification tag.

By combining the pet tag with a website, RecoveryPets.Com is essentially creating a worldwide recognizable tracking system for the family pet. One of the benefits is the contact information and any computer in the world can view description with Internet access. And, because the unique identification number has to be entered in the form field correctly, this provides a security feature for registered owners by not having any of their personal information displayed, such as home addresses, which is not contained on the contact page. The only information contained on the displayed page is the contact numbers and email addresses, which can be updated free for the life of the pet.

In the event the family pet should become lost or wander away, the finder only has to log on to the website and enter the unique identification number. The contact page will then be displayed, and all the email addresses are hyperlink to make leaving the owner a message that the pet has been found is simpler. Once this information has been received by the pet owner it will relieve any anxiety they were feeling about the lost pet, and gives them a way to set up communications to retrieve their lost pet.
