Samsung E870 - the simple and sensible option.

By Grace Lewis

Slim, stylish but not flashy - that pretty much sums up the Samsung e870. Minimal design, great finish and user-friendly interface marks the simplistic charm of the Samsung e870. This clamshell design with dual coloured screen is one of the slimmest phone available in today's market. The large keypad weeds out the incorrect entries - which is common in many available models.

Applications included in the phone are carefully chosen to avoid the clutter of softwares which largely remains unused. You can view Power Point presentations, Word & Excel files by using the document viewer and can also get their printouts through PictBridge.

The handset has a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4 x digital zoom. Shoot whatever catches your imagination and share it with whoever you like. Video recording is very sharp and true to life. Best part is that there is no cap on the length of the recording. It is dependent on your free memory. Apart from the internal memory, the standard pack comes with 80 Mb of MicroSD™ memory card which is further upgradeable.

The Samsung e870 doesn't only looks great, it sounds great too. The music player can play music in MP3, WMA, ACC, AAC+ and eAAC+ file. Video Player is capable of playing MPEG4, H263 and AAC format. So you can enjoy your share of music and high grade footage on the move. With Bluetooth you also have the option of listening to your favourite music wirelessly.

GPRS, EDGE keeps you connected to the Net like high speed Broadband. Browse through the Internet with WAP 2.0/xHTML. The in-built e-mail client is another high point of your Internet connectivity. If the in-built Java based games are not enough, download as many as you want. With Samsung e870, there is no limit to fun.

Unique and classy, the Samsung e870 have style written all over it.
