Jaguar, In the Mood for a Total Revamp

By Michelle Crimson

The cat in the auto industry feels that it is high time to do striking tweaking. Further, Jaguar has finally announced that it will now bid adieu to its old engines, interiors and exteriors. It seems that the cat is in the 'Total Revamp' mood.

With the stiff competition, innovative designs, and powerful vehicles delivered in the automotive world, no automaker will just sit around and wait for the market results. Automakers are sporting different techniques to excel in the industry. Moreover, the cat is also putting its best foot forward by renewing its entire range. Enthusiasts can expect a whole new range from the X type to the XJ.

Jaguar X Type, its entry-level luxury car, is the smallest sedan of the automaker. X Type Jaguar parts are based on the S-Type. However, there are several styling cues that was inspired by the XJ series.

XJ series, on the other hand, is composed of the XK8 and XKR. Said model is the replacement of XJS. Jaguar parts XK8 are specially designed to cater to the needs of both the coupe and the convertible. Consequently, Jaguar XKR parts are refreshed to boost the performance of the car. For the 2007 model year, XK will be using a 4.2 L AJ-V8 that produces 300 horsepower and 310 ft-lbf.

Jaguar announced that the X Type range will be absolutely refurbished by the end of 2007. XJ production will be increased by 183 percent through next year and about 60 percent of the cars will be outfitted with a diesel motor. In addition, all Jaguar engines will undergo sophistication and refinement to produce more modern and powerful versions. Further, the 2.0-liter engine will pave way for a more powerful turbo diesel that generates a top speed of 185 horsepower.

Jaguar diesel variants will also include automatic gearbox. Also part of the striking change that Jaguar is concentrating is the introduction of new colors and styles. Both the interior and the exterior of the automaker's vehicles will be benefited by this total revamp. The new lineup will also be catering greater personalization of Jaguar cars.

The auto industry is a dynamic realm hence; automakers must constantly incorporate modifications and innovations to compete efficiently with rivals. Jaguar follows this convention. Moreover, it will be making a brand new set of vehicles to wow the industry.
