Range Rover Gets More Power

Rover enthusiasts are saying if you have some roving to do, you need not look far for Range Rover is obtainable. Conversely, enthusiasts are expected to be more delighted when they know that Rover adds up power to make the roving escapade more thrilling and worthwhile. Range Rover Sport is designed by the automaker to make a bumpy ride comfortable and exciting.

Range Rover Sport, also known as sports tourer, is a high-performance, 5-passenger luxury SUV that shares the same platform with the Discovery. Said SUV is powered by a supercharged 390 PS 4.2 L AJ-V8. So far, it is the second most powerful vehicle from Land Rover.

Range Rover Sport is from the lineage of Range Rover. Land Rover Range Rover parts are powered to come up with a more powerful vehicle. In fact, the parts for a Range Rover are meticulously tested in the process of determining its potential capabilities to boost power and performance of the SUV.

Next year, Range Rover will benefit from several adaptations that include new 3.6 L AJD-V8 diesel engine, which boasts 272 horsepower. Adaptations also include revised suspension and better brakes. The Supercharged version will employ an electronic rear differential.

This fall, Range Rover gets more power with 2 new engine options. Said options include a 400 horsepower supercharged V-8 for the Range Rover. Further, the vehicle will also benefit from a redesigned interior with Land Rover's terrific Terrain Response System. The latter lets the driver twist a knob to select 1 of 5 settings to tailor the powertrain, suspension and electronic systems to the driving conditions.

The modifications made to the vehicle's interior include new trim, cup holders, twin glove boxes, more fitting center console. The fully-equipped Range Rover HSE is priced at $77,260 whereas the Supercharged version is priced at $92,750.

Range Rover Sport, on one hand, is given a personal telephone integration system with Bluetooth capability and standard Sirius satellite radio for the Supercharged V-8 model. The Range Rover Sport HSE is priced at $57,650 whereas the Range Rover Sport Supercharged costs $70,950.

Additionally, the 2007 Range Rover will also receive a facelift. Changes cover the redesigned dash and cabin trim and improved air conditioning system. Minor changes on the exterior were also made. They include slight change to the front bumper design and headlight/grille treatment.
