Why Blogs Are So Important If You Have A Home Business

People visit blogs for information, advice, opinions, or entertainment. They are drawn to the "human" aspect of blogs... the fact that bloggers write in a very personal and informal style.
A popular feature is the conversational aspect of blogging. Many blogs allow people to leave comments on what they've read on the blog, and other people then reply to those comments and continue the discussion. A sense of community can be found in popular blogs (very much like an online discussion forum) because the same people return again and again to post comments and connect with other people interested in the same topics.
Another reason for the explosion in the popularity of blogs is that they offer people new, fresh voices and opinions -- a change from the mainstream media and online news web sites.
And the fact that blog posts are usually brief, regularly updated, and easy to read means that many people now read their favorite blogs every day... much as they would an online newspaper or magazine.
Just as most people can find a magazine or web site that caters to their interests, they can now find a blog on their favorite subject too.
From a blogger's point of view, the ease of use is partly why blogging spread so quickly -- people jumped at the chance to publish their thoughts and views on the Internet without needing to have any special technical knowledge, and even without needing to have their own web site!
The cheap and accessible services offered by providers like Blogger and Typepad made blogging easy-to-use, quick, and inexpensive or free... and the result is that blogging now plays a major role in today's online home business communication.

The growing popularity of blogging means that everyone from individuals to huge corporations have created blogs and joined the "blogosphere" and if you have a home business or brick and mortar business, you should too.
