Top 10 Most Popular New Cars, Revealed

Cars.com earlier conducted a survey about the most popular new cars. According to the survey the most popular newbie is Honda Civic. The rankings were based on the votes gathered through email requests to dealers for new vehicles for the second quarter of 2006. The top spot goes to Honda Civic. According to the dealers emails, the car's lure include its 5-speed transmissions, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, standard ABS, and its option for GPS navigation. It was also divulged that enthusiasts like Civic because of its reliable Honda parts integrated with increased mileage, refinement, quality interior, fuel economy features and more. Toyota Camry lands on the second spot. The new version of Camry comes with a larger V-6 engine, reclining backseat (XLE) and improved 4-cylinder. It is said to radiate a more-interesting style than its predecessors. It was also given hybrid refinement, improved fuel economy and standard ABS. On the third spot is Honda Accord, which was given V6 engine, 6-speed manual in EX V-6 models, optional navigation system, sedan and coupe body styles and XM Satellite Radio. Popularity of Accord is linked to its powerful acceleration, reliability and visibility. Toyota Corolla, which gives an optional side curtain airbags and electronic stability system, bagged the fourth spot. Its popularity can be attributed to the reputation of Toyota parts for quality, durability, comfort and solid construction. On the fifth spot is Honda Odyssey, which possesses VCM V-6 in higher-end models, standard side-curtain airbags, voice-recognition navigation and 5-speed automatic transmission. The things that make it popular include its automatic-transmission operation, stability, maneuverability and versatility. Toyota RAV4 is on the sixth spot. Said model is given a powerful V-6 engine and an option whether to use FWD or AWD. RAV4 boasts its sporty look, V-6 performance, maneuverability, fuel economy and lots of safety equipment. Next on the list is another vehicle from Toyota called Prius. It has an enhanced hatchback body style and an electric-dominant hybrid powertrain. On the eighth spot is Toyota Yaris, a hatchback sedan with a stubby design. Another Toyota model lands on the ninth spot – Sienna. The latter exudes comfort, quietness, reliability and quality. On the tenth spot is Toyota Tacoma, which also has a powerful V-6 engine and expected efficiency of Toyota parts.
