How An Unusual "Farting" Problem Led To Massive Culinary Success!

By Craig Garber

Do you bite your nails?

Pass gass easily or often?

Do you dig your forefinger into the back of your mouth above
your teeth to clean out the mashed up food that's stuck
there -- in public?

Don't worry about it -- first of all -- whoever "catches"
you doing these things isn't really giving it a second
thought.

I know you may feel self-couscious about it, but believe me,
no one's going home at night and talking about it with
their family while they're eating their broiled chicken and
caesar salad around the table at dinner time.

The other thing is, you really never DO know how these
"oddball" or "quirky" characteristics and idiosynchracies of
yours...

May change the outcome of your entire life!

For instance, when Giuseppe Mascali was 14, he started
getting sick -- he had LOADS of gas, and an occasional upset
stomach.

His mother took him to the doctor, and as it turns out --
the problem was -- he had a hard time digesting all the
tomato seeds he was eating. And since he was living in
Torino -- a town in Northern Italy -- he was eating tomato
sauce almost nightly, and something needed to be done --
quick!

So, whenever Giuseppe's mother made marinara sauce, she
would have to strain the sauce at some point in the cooking
process, and remove all the tomato seeds.

The other thing she had to do, was to boil off and remove
all the oils before serving Giuseppe his dinner. See, she
came to understand, long before all the scientists and the
FDA and everyone else who's counting carbs and watching
their weight, that trans-fatty acids, aren't easy to digest
and they don't break down inside of you.

How some little Italian lady who presumably wasn't a
chemist, uncovered these things... I have no idea. Perhaps
it's the same way your mother always knew when you were
lying when you were a kid. I'm not a mom but Lord knows I
do know the incredible power of...

Women's Intuition!

But... I digress.

Anyway, when Giuseppe decided to come over to America and
become a chef, he brought these cooking secrets along with
him, so all his meals are not only scrumptious... but after
you finish eating, it doesn't feel like you just swallowed
a pot of lead BB's that suddenly start fusing together now
that they're inside your tummy.

How do I know all this?

The answer is simple.

Over on State Road 41, just north of the railroad tracks in
this little old town I live in called Lutz, there's a
restaurant called Villaggio Ristorante Italiano.

Giuseppe's owned the joint since 1999, and when Anne and I
and the kids ate their the other night, he was kind enough
to share his story with us.

Not only that, but before our waiter came over to us,
Giuseppe spent some time asking us what kind of dishes we
liked and he made a few suggestions about some meals he
thought we'd enjoy.

Then, during dinner, Giuseppe came over to check on us a few
times, and he grabbed our glasses and got us drink
refills.

I didn't have any wine or other alcohol to drink that night
(although with 3 kids in tow, you'd have thought drinking
would be automatic -- but there again -- I am a bit of a
glutton for punishment) but if I was drinking, no doubt,
Giuseppe also would've made sure to bring me another drink,
lickety-split.

I'm not sure if Guiseppe does any marketing for his
restaurant -- the parking lot's usually full, so whatever
he's doing, it's working.

But... do you know, if all he did was tell his story in
writing, the same simple way I just told it to you... that
he'd have an absolute killer sales letter?

It's true!

All he'd need to do is fill in a few more personal details,
like some more information about where he grew up... what
kind of food his mother liked to cook most often... maybe
his favorite dish... and some information about his
"business partner", who also happens to be his wife.

Are you telling YOUR story in your marketing?

If not, why not?

You're missing a wonderful chance at selling!

Do you know why stories like this are so powerful?

No?

Well, I'll be spilling the beans about why this in a future
tip, sometime soon, but in the meanwhile, I'm sure
there's something about you -- or something in your
history or your family's history -- that has curious
or unusual details that are at LEAST as exciting as
Guiseppe's, that you can be talking about with
your prospects and customers.

And even if you don't fart... or chew your nails... or
you're not farting and chewing your nails at the same
time... believe me, I'm sure there's something about you or
your business that's unique.

Figure out what that is, and then... start telling your
story!

Now go sell something.
