Samsung X820: Slimmer than the slimmest.
By Ben Bradle
Though Motorola have been largely responsible to start the 'slim' phone revolution, Samsung have managed to pull out a stunner. Against 10.9 mm thickness of the MOTOSLIM Motorola L6, the Samsung X820 is arguably the world's slimmest phone being a mere 6.9 mm 'thick'. This feat is achieved mainly due to the use of fiber infused plastic which is less than 1mm thick but very strong. The handset looks very sophisticated in ghost black with touch of chrome.
The TFT LCD screen that displays 256k vibrant colours acts as the perfect viewfinder of the integrated 2.0 megapixel camera. Get up and close with the digital zoom and capture moments in various effects. The camera is equipped with video capabilities so that you can record events as they unfold. The changeable settings can alter the quality and size of images.
Despite its 'thinness' the Samsung X820 have managed a vast and premium feature list. Other than a top drawer Organizer, the handset also features Document Viewer to view your MS Office as well as PDF files. If you find the images too small, watch them on your TV or a projector with its TV output. You can send and receive emails with attachments with the built in email client.
The Samsung X820 supports tri-band mobile network so globe trekking is never an issue with the handset. The phone gives its user quick and easy access to Internet through its GPRS and superior EDGE technology. Enjoy your surfing with the built-in WAP 2.0 browser. Connect and share information with any compatible device via Bluetooth wireless technology or the more traditional USB. When all your work is done relax to the music played on the integrated media player or enjoy a round of high quality inbuilt Java game.
Samsung X820 is a good flagship model to own as there are no compromises on feature because of its dimensions. About the Author Ben Bradley is webmaster of
