Motorola L7: slim, stylish, attractive and desirable.

By Ben Bradle

Motorola L7 is famously known as Motorola SLVR resembling the word silver much like PEBL and RAZR. True to its name, the Motorola L7 is truly a slim phone with a thickness of 11.5 mm – that makes it thinner than Motorola RAZR V3.

Motorola L7 is a classic candy-bar form with royal looking chemically-etched metallic keypad. The silver reflection of the keypad together with 256k vibrant colours of the TFT display makes the Motorola SLVR L7 strikingly stylish.

The functionality of the Motorola L7 goes way beyond its good looks. Among other premium features, the handset also features SCREEN3 technology – a click-less way for instant access to your preferred current news, sports and entertainment without launching the browser. Push to Talk technology lets you be in constant touch with a group just like a walkie talkie.

The Motorola L7 is equipped with a VGA camera with full functionalities like digital zoom and video recording. Though the camera doesn't compare to multi megapixel cameras in other phone, it does its job well and proves really handy. You might even get hooked to one of the inbuilt J2ME games embedded in the device or can download some more. GPRS powered mobile Internet and the WAP browser makes content search and download easy and painless.

The media player of the Motorola L7 plays many popular audio file formats as well as videos in MPGE4 format. Sound quality is clear and powerful considering it is a fashion solution and not a music phone. You can listen to your favourite songs on the headphones or prefer to play it on the built in speaker which the Motorola L7 does with equal finesse. The phone has a total memory of 11 Mb of which around 5Mb is available to user. But you can expand it up to 1GB through external memory card.

It would be an understatement to say that Motorola is just a fashion phone. There is a lot inside the thin shiny case.
