Orange M2000: Your mobile workstation.

By Ben Bradle

Orange SPV M2000 is a Pocket PC PDA that doubles up as a mobile phone. This Window based smartphone is a perfect mate for those who likes to work on the move. The device comes with a fully functional QWERTY keypad, touch screen and navigation key. The massive 3.5 inch QVGA transflective TFT display is surrounded by the silver casing looks makes the device look elegant and powerful.

The Intel PXA263 400MHz CPU with 128MB of RAM and 32MB of ROM makes the Orange M2000 one of the strongest PDA devices today. Quad band GSM network and Wi-Fi (802.11b) makes the device a powerhouse of connectivity. Orange M2000's built in Wi-Fi abilities lets you browse the web anywhere in your home provided you've got a wireless router or for that matter any signal in your neighborhood.

The Orange M2000 is installed with Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC Phone Edition that includes pocket version of Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint along with Adobe and Acrobat and many other popular Windows programs. 'Skype' software comes pre-installed in the Orange SPV M2000. You can make computer-to-computer calls or computer to regular phone calls just like any phone but at ridiculously cheap price like £ 0.014 per minute. Or you can chat with the MSN messenger in an 'old fashioned way'. In absence of Wi-Fi, use class 10 GPRS to get online. Synchronization and transfer of information via Bluetooth, USB is a breeze.

The PDA also includes a VGA camera with video capabilities. Pictures are decent even in low lights though there is no flash. Watch various formats of videos in the large screen with great clarity or enjoy your favourite tunes in the Window Media player. The handheld can be turned into a portable radio, playing streaming radio online.

The Orange SPV M2000 packs enough features to keep both gadget junkies and business users truly satisfied.
