The TFT 262k colour screen covers half of the mono-block and produces lively images. Based on S60 Software (3rd Edition), the phone have Symbian Operating System OS 9.1. Its user-friendly and intuitive interface makes other business phones look very messy and complicated.

The potential of the Nokia E50 as a business and communication tool are immense. Desk phone features like handsfree speaker-phone, call forwarding, holding, short numbers gives the Nokia E50 a definitive edge over the present crop of business mobile phones. Communicate with your whole team at once by conference call (Up to 6 Contacts) or push to talk. The phone have the ability to turn off you 'business' number while keeping your personal number active. The handset supports Quad band GSM network so can work on all the five continents. Longer than usual battery life deserve a special mention.

Internet connectivity of the Nokia E50 is among the fastest. But the versatility is its support to email clients including Intellisync Wireless Email, BlackBerry Connect, Visto Mobile and Altexia. You can view Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel attachments and is also compatible with Zip Manager and Adobe Reader. The Nokia E50 can be used as a modem if you are using your PC to connect to Internet. Synchronize the E50 with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes to have latest meetings, contacts, and notes on hand through USB, Bluetooth or Infra Red.

The phone have a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with zoom. Apart from still photographs, video recording is supported up to 1 hour. The Nokia E50 has 70 Mb Dynamic Memory and supports hot swap of memory cards up to 2GB. The phone also includes addictive Java and Symbian Games so that you never run out of fun in work.
