Phentermine Diet Pills

By cathrine

There are many weight loss drugs available in the market. Most of them work by activating the central nervous system by suppressing appetite. Phentermine is an appetite suppressant that is used as a short-term supplement to diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity. Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine similar to amphetamine. It is also known as anorectic/anorexigenic drug.
Phentermine diet pill is the most commonly prescribed weight loss drug. Phentermine is available in three forms: - Tablets, - Capsules, and - Resin capsules. Phentermine resin became available in 1959 in the US and Phentermine hydrochloride in early 1970's.
Phentermine is prescription diet pill and should not be taken without doctor's prescription. Phentermine hydrochloride comes in - Immediate release, or - Time release formula. Immediate release pills release into your system as soon as you take them and time release capsules release the medication into your body over an extended period of time, generally 8-12 hours.
Phentermine diet pill decreases appetite by possibly changing brain levels of serotonin. Phentermine is a nervous system stimulator like the amphetamines, causing stimulation, elevation of blood pressure, and faster heart rate. Phentermine stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brains) and increases heart rate and blood pressure and decreases appetite
Phentermine is best taken on an empty stomach, ½ hour before breakfast. Phentermine must be stored in a tightly closed container at room temperature. Since Phentermine can cause sleeplessness, it is recommended that Phentermine should be avoided in the afternoon.
If Phentermine is taken in a tablet form, it should be broken or cut in half. It should not be crushed or chewed. While taking Phentermine ensure that it is not taken more than prescribed and not longer than prescribed. Phentermine is habit forming and if left immediately has withdrawal effects.
Phentermine has many side effects and if you notice any of them inform the doctor immediately: - Chest pain - Trouble in breathing - Fainting - Swelling of feet or lower legs - Decreased ability to exercise Phentermine is available under brand names Ionamin and Adipex. It is also available in generic medication known as Phentermine. Previously it was sold under the name Fastin which was later withdrawn from the market. Herbal Phentermine is also available in the market. It is a non prescription appetite suppressant and the company claims that the effects are the same as that of the prescribed Phentermine and is 100% natural and safe.
Phentermine is an appetite suppressant, should not be used as a substitute for proper diet or exercise. For maximum effects it must be used in conjunction with a reduced calorie diet and exercise.
Any modification in your diet, activity level, and behavior must be developed and continued long-term in order to continue losing weight and prevent the lost weight from returning.
