Limit your search to registered institutions that offer accredited courses. Maybe you should consider a school that allows you to progress from a basic nursing degree to associate degree and from there to an RN and MSN degree. Check if the school will allow you to choose your subjects. The number of participants in a study group is also important as it affects the level of interaction a student can have with a group instructor. It is actually a question of individual preference, you may wish for a small student-faculty ratio or perhaps a large group may be more stimulating for you.
If you are a working professional you should investigate if the school facilitates clinical studies and if you can carry out the same in your workplace. The clinical studies should involve sufficient practical experience; you can check with current and past students about a college's reputation regarding clinical practice.
