Welcome The Mazda MX-5 With Hardtop

By Kimberly Meyer

The Mazda MX-5 has been in the market since the year 1989. This roadster has also been marketed under various names. The list includes the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Mazda Miata, Eunos Roadster, and the Mazda Roadster. It has been crafted as an FR convertible and is very much like the MG F, the Pontiac Solstice, The Toyota MR2, and the MG Midget. Mazda Tribute auto parts have been specially made for the Mazda Tribute and the Mazda MX-5 has its own share of unique auto parts to give it its own one of a kind look. With this sports car built by the Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, Japan, you would surely be finding this vehicle to be a quality one.

And coming this fall, the Mazda MX-5 would be made available as a sports car that has a hardtop. And in short, it simply means that this vehicle would be having a top that could fold and close and make the sports car into a convertible. But despite the Mazda MX-5 receiving a hardtop, you need not worry for closing or opening it would only use up a couple of moments in your driving.

You see, the Mazda MX-5 may not be speedy enough to fulfill zero mph to 60mph in just a couple of seconds, but it sure can be speedy enough to close or open the hardtop in just twelve seconds. And the company is claiming that the Mazda MX-5 has the fasted folding hardtop in the world and in the convertible category. You only need to push one button and the Mazda MX-5 starts folding the hardtop and stashes it right in its storage space. All these happens in a dozen seconds.

This became a reality when Mazda went into a joint project with a German aftermarket company that goes by the name Webasto. And according to the vehicle manufacturer, the hardtop only adds a mere 77 pounds to the vehicle. But it would not be changing the performance of the vehicle for the Mazda MX-5 also went through several changes to make up for the added weight.

If you are interested, you can purchase this vehicle for only $24,945.
