From Datsun to Nissan: Still Bearing that Quality Sign

By Jenny McLane

Not all people know this fact. Previously known as the Datsun brand of cars and trucks, Nissan has been in the automobile industry, although the brand name Nissan was used in cars only in the year 1983. This brand of automobiles was founded by Yoshisuke Aikawa. Nissan has certainly made its place in the automobile industry manufacturing a number of classic and memorable cars. Nissan USA president in 1959 advocated a philosophy that was part Zen, part car aficionado: "Love cars, love people, love life." And this has become incorporated with Nissan's innovations and worldwide success.

The early cars were designed mostly for domestic consumption. Nissan has also gained respect and popularity with some of the vehicles that they had manufactured: the Z-car and the Skyline GT-R. At present carrying a wide line-up of cars, Nissan includes the Maxima, Altima, Sentra, Z and Z Roadster among its list. Crafting other models of trucks and SUVs, this line-up includes the Murano, Xterra, Quest, Pathfinder, Titan, and Frontier.

The 2006 Nissan Altima offers six models, each featuring different options like air conditioning, cruise control, a stereo with CD player, power windows, locks, mirrors, keyless entry, and a DVD-based navigation system. The 2006 Nissan Murano offers a five-passenger interior, and gives these options: 18-inch wheels, cloth seating, dual-zone climate control, a CD player, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The 2006 Nissan Maxima has been designed to be sportier than the first two mentioned. The standard features include an eight-speaker CD stereo, one-touch up-down front windows and keyless entry.

A tremendous line of discount Nissan parts guaranteed to be the best of its kind is found at Auto Parts Online. Each part has been carefully manufactured as to ensure excellent Nissan performance. Nissan's badge bears boldness, innovativeness, and performance and each of these characteristics are found in each and every vehicle, and each and every automobile part bearing the Nissan symbol.
