Carries Soothing Properties - Chamomile Essential Oil

There are varieties of essential oils in the market and each one it has its own character of healing and curing. One of them is chamomile essential oil, which is extracted from Anthemis Nobilis( it is also known as sweet and garden chamomile). Basically, there are two types of chamomile essential oils that are Roman chamomile essential oil ( extracted from sweet and garden chamomile) and German chamomile essential oil( extracted from blue, Hungarian and single chamomile).

Both Roman and German chamomile essential oil has its own soothing properties, such as roman chamomile is very effective in dealing with problems like menstrual, menopause, irritation etc. On the other hand, German chamomile essential oil has been proved to be effective for skin problem and tissue regeneration. Chamomile essential oil carries a crisp, sweet and fruity fragrance.

Chamomile essential oil is used for many purposes; some of its uses are as follow:
• Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the art of healing and curing various health and skin problems. It makes use of various essential oils. And, chamomile essential oil is regarded as one of the most known and mildest essential oils used in aromatherapy.

• Cosmetic
Chamomile essential oil is used in various cosmetic products because of its soothing characteristics. It is used in various crèmes, lotions, shampoos, conditioners etc.

• Medicinal
Chamomile essential oil is analgesic, antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-depressant, digestive, stomachic, anti-infectious, bactericidal etc in nature.

Chamomile essential has been proved very effective in healing and curing problems like boils, hair loss, nausea, stress, sunburns, arthritis, stomach ache, wounds, toothaches, rashes, gall bladder problems, throat infection, allergies, asthma, fever, digestion and various skin problems. Chamomile essential oil is absorbed by the body by means of vapor therapy or by massaging.

Chemical composition of chamomile essential oil is as follows:
•Ester content
•Pinene
•Farnesol
•Azulene
•Camphene
•Myrcene
•Bisabolol
•Pinocarveol
While buying chamomile essential oil, the person is recommended to purchase the quality product because inferior quality product can affect the health adversely. And, make sure that the seller is trustworthy.

Precautions to be taken while using chamomile essential oil:
It is absolutely true that chamomile essential oil is mild and non-toxic. But still it can be harmful when taken or absorbed in excess. Pregnant women should avoid using chamomile essential oil.

At the end, the person must not forget to consult a therapist in order to avoid undesirable situation.
