Peruse a Few Palm Springs Vacation Rentals

By Caitlin Moore

There are over a hundred different viewpoints to embrace that will reveal Palm Springs, California in all its intoxicating glory. These perches, these hotspots, come in the form of vacation rentals and make this most satisfying of getaway destinations appear in an even rosier and more pleasing light. A comfortable home serving as the foundation for your vacation makes all the difference, so check into booking one of these beauties as you start to plan your Palm Springs vacation.

If the idea of a vacation rental is a little fuzzy, not to worry. They come in so many shapes, sizes and price ranges that there isn't a definitive prototype to draw from. It's best to outline what you have in mind first and then take it from there. There's sure to be a property that meets your specific requirements and complements the person or people that you'll be bringing along, and perusing the listings are half the fun.

Nothing will get you in the mood for your Palm Springs vacation like imagining yourself unpacking your bags in this desert villa or that adobe casita. Some houses are perched on hills overlooking vast desert landscapes, while others are nestled at the bottom of the San Jacinto Mountains. Patios and picture windows offer views of the main event, so go for the landscape that brings you the most joy and make it the permanent backdrop for your holiday.

Depending on how many people you're bringing along you could end up in any number of places but be assured that you'll be happy no matter what with how things turn out. Remember the last trip where everyone came along, but tensions ran high due to lack of space? Kids and adults tend to get stir-crazy when there's not enough natural light, elbow room or room to breathe, so this time around don't repeat any errors. Town homes and condos tend to deliver more livable space and can be extensively scoped out beforehand, and they tend to make vacations a little less stress-inducing.

They also tend to spice things up a little. Imagine ending up in a place with a modernist, Zen décor. A private pool, streamlined kitchen shiny with stainless steel appliances, a master bedroom with its own little terrace, and a definite feel of positive feng shui. Harmony will certainly be achieved when everyone has their own corner of the house and can coexist peacefully; it'll even make joining each other for a meal, a movie or an outing to one of Palm Springs' many attractions a little more interesting – in a good way. Basically, moods will be running high thanks to your solid lodging situation.

If it just happens to be you and your significant other, find a smaller place with just as many amenities and just as much power to make you feel special. From Asian-inspired to West Coast cottage, most properties are designed to please discerning tastes. Even if you aren't that into decorations, you'll love the basics; good bed, comfortable living areas, and easy access to Palm Springs.

That's right, don't forget you're here to see the town. Palm Springs has cultural offerings, festivals, shopping, restaurants, museums and much more. The desert and the mountains provide a soothing element to the mix, and as you wander the town you'll feel adequately removed from all real world responsibilities. The atmosphere here, while typically California, is different than places like Los Angeles or San Francisco. The air is a little cleaner, the scenery is sharper, and it feels a little farther away from the concept of hustle and bustle. Throwing a vacation rental into the mix can only make things better, and it's certainly something to consider doing either for this trip or for one down the road.

Go online to sort through the various styles, layouts and locations of the all the Palm Springs Vacation Rentals that are just waiting to add to you upcoming holiday. It's an experience not to be missed, and your time has come.
