Internet: a swaying tale of mouse and keys

By Samuel Hary

Internet might not be an unheard of commodity for most of us today but the story wasn't always the same. Imagine the world these days but for the e-mails-be it business or a friend just dropping by to say hi!, online bill payments, railway, air-ticket reservation or a movie ticket for that matter. Pfh!!!! It goes beyond my imagination. Rare seen are the faces of those anxious candidates waiting for their interview letters and gone are the days of carrying hard copies of important documents with you. Internet has swept away all and sundry with its power to connect people.

Who can say no to ISPs, digital TVs, Internet shopping and one of the latest utilities-shopping via Cashback Portals. Different Cashback Portals project their websites in accord with their policies and procedures. It is up to we- the customers to get associated with one of them as per our requirements. I was thinking on the lines of changing my ISP and that was when I made a visit to http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk which I found not bad at all. Although I was more concerned regarding my hunt of an ISP, I could make out their scrupulous efforts in almost all the possible categories with over 2,000 retailers intended to cater the needs of its members.

Do you have a friend or a relative staying in a different city or country? Have you ever wondered about the cost of communicating with them over the telephone if there were no provisions for chatting on the web. Such was the advent and impact of the Internet that former American president Bill Clinton was once quoted as saying "When I took office, only high energy physicists had ever heard of what is called the Worldwide Web.... Now even my cat has its own page." If this is the influence of Internet over our society one would find really difficult to refrain from paying a visit on the websites to earn Cashback and feel wise.
