Office Supplies – How to choose within limited budget?

By Jatin Chawla

Office supplies consume major percentage of your overall budget for setting up an office. Although it makes sense in cutting down this cost but at the same time you should not compromise on your necessities.

When we say necessities, single out those items in your office furniture that you can avoid. The best practice would be to start penning down each and every requirement and sort them in two categories, essential and non-essential. This will help you to eliminate the non-essential list if you fall short of cash.

The below given tips will help you save money on certain items of your office furniture.

- To start with your office ambience, keep things simple and sober and try not to waste money in the sake of style.

- Storage is another important and expensive option. Rather than going for new cabinets, you can always go for cabinets that are sold at auctions or at surplus stores.

- The next important item will be your desk. You get a variety of office desk with varying price range. When working with tight budget, the priority should be functionality rather than style.

- Chair is the most important furniture that you should choose according to your comfort. These days you get chairs that are ergonomically designed which has a good support for your back and arms. If you know that your work demands sitting for long hours then spending some extra bucks on chairs is very important.

- Storage is another important and expensive option. Rather than going for new cabinets, you can always go for cabinets that are sold at auctions or at surplus stores.

- An office cannot be complete without computers. You should understand your needs before buying computers for your office. Going for the best available will cost you far more than the one that fulfills your needs. You can even checkout for sale offers where you can get good computers at low prices.
