Product Review: The Insider Secrets Of An eBay Millionaire

There are several products available today which promise to tell you the facts about selling on eBay. Many of these simply review the process itself with little insight into the opportunity. Many claim to demonstrate how to take advantage of the opportunity without having much more to say than the courses that offer just the facts. However, in reviewing several of these products I did uncover one that seems to provide a comprehensive course on actually becoming a successful eBay Power Seller.

Before I talk about this product, let me just give you a few things that led up to my purchase of this product and then I will tell you a little bit about it.

First of all, I was NOT the least bit interested in getting involved in selling on eBay, but my wife expressed an interest on the subject. I have been successful with various internet businesses for years, but this was an area I wasn't interested in. had previously purchased "The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet", which is a course on internet marketing, from the publisher, the Internet Marketing Center, and had read the promotional material they had distributed about "The Insider Secrets Of An eBay Millionaire". I had been impressed with the professionalism and depth of their internet marketing course, so I purchased their eBay selling course for my wife.

Turns out she wasn't interested, but let me tell you about their course, because now I am the one who is interested, and that is why I have taken a look at the eBay selling courses which are appearing.

I mentioned the professionalism and depth of the internet marketing course I had received. It was obvious that their eBay selling course had been designed by the same people.

The packet I received included a 237-page guidebook PLUS over 4 hours of audio instruction on 4 CDs, with workbooks to go along with the CD's.

The instruction is based on the history of success achieved by Brandon Dupsky. Brandon began like most eBay power sellers by trying to sell some things he had around the house. Along the way, he saw the possibility for the individual which was inherent in the thousands of auctions which took place daily on eBay. He must have gotten a handle on it, because in one year alone, he made over $8,000,000 on eBay. Rest assured, however, that Brandon does not offer "pie-in-the-sky" schemes, but provides solid advice on everything from how to auction your first item to how to build a network of suppliers, find the items that sell, and how to structure your sale in such a way as to produce maximum benefit and profit.

Brandon is guided through parts of the instructional process by Derek Gehl, head of the Internet Marketing Center and an internet marketing legend himself. He, together with the late internet marekting legend, Corey Rudl, designed the current "Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet" mentioned above. Derek makes a telling point early in one of the discussions when he mentions the first time he attended a gathering of eBay sellers. In his discussions with many of the attendees, he realized that even the most successful eBay sellers had little or no concept of internet marketing. In constructing this course, he has been careful to point out where internet marketing techniques can be blended with, or added to, successful eBay tactics to produce an eBay selling juggernaut. In fact, in preparing the course, many of his staff became Power Sellers themselves.

Brandon and Derek combine forces to provide some excellent information for the eBay beginner. Early on, they answer the question, "Do you know the secrets to finding 'hot' products to sell on eBay?" by providing a detailed list of 10 sources, immediately followed by 12 other possible sources (pp 45-50). Brandon goes on to provide detailed information on such topics as "The 7 eBay Don'ts", while providing guidance with simple, yet valuable tips on such topics as:

    Whether you should learn HTML (p 120) How to make use of the "About Me" page (p 127), and How to build an opt-in email list (p 144),

just to name a few.

The main volume is 237 pages long, and by page 144 you are likely to be overwhelmed by the sheer mass of material that has been made available to you. However, the presentation, while loaded with information is easy to read and well indexed, and, should you purchase the course, you will have the hard copies and CDs to review over and over again.

I would definitely recommend purchasing a copy of this course if you are serious about pursuing the eBay selling opportunity.
