Lung cancer: Only one of Asbestos disaster

Lung cancer as a consequence of asbestos exposure could be considered as one of asbestos disaster, since this mineral is more likely to generate problems than solve them. It maybe has different pros, but it is also a high risk factor to get a painful disease.
Lung cancer causes up to 3 million deaths per year, becoming the most lethal malignant tumour of the lungs worldwide. The most important risk factor for lung cancer is smoking, but inhaling or swallowing asbestos fibers double fold this possibilities, and many asbestos workers carry these asbestos particles in their clothes into their houses and this one could affect their families too.
According to current research, asbestos workers should not smoke, (so a smoking cessation treatment is pretty important), because this practice increases their possibility of getting ill of lung cancer or other asbestos-related disease. (Malignant mesothelioma lung cancer for instance). The worst thing is that these pathologies may appear 30 or 40 years after have been exposed to the malignant fibers of the mineral.
Lung cancer symptoms are chronic cough and hoarseness, wheezing, chest pain, weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite, dysphonia, coughing up blood and shortness of breath. That is why it is so important to visit the doctor if you have the symptoms above mentioned. A specialist doctor will be always better than a general doctor.
Asbestos workers have a higher risk for developing lung cancer if they don't follow the corresponding recommendations at their workplace in order to reduce that risk. Hence some uses of asbestos are banned in many countries, since it is known that the inhalation of asbestos fibers can cause terrible diseases among human beings.
Certainly if you have been affected for this disease you could claim an asbestos compensation, in this case you must a specialist lawyer for advises in this subjects.
