How to identify Best Niche Products
By Joseph Then
There are an almost endless number of products available on the market
today for interested people to resell. You received of emails that offers resell
rights, master resell rights. But the question is how do you know which ones
will turn a profit, and which ones will end up languishing in the recycle bin?
Here are some guidelines to follow to find the best of the best:
The Product Should Appeal to a Niche Market
People vary a great deal from one to the next; it's not realistic to assume that
what one person wants or needs is the same as what the next person wants or
needs. Look for a product that specifically appeals to a certain group, whether
that is elementary school teachers, lizard owners, or vegetarians. Such groups
are known as "niche markets." Targeted information is almost always of
greater value than vague, generic information that is designed to appeal to the
masses. The more helpful your product is, the easier it is to sell, and the more
eager your customers will be to purchase from you again.
In evaluating the niche market, remember that practicality must come in. For
example, learn swimming is a niche on its own but near to impossible to write
an ebook on "How to swim".
The Product Should Be Customizable
Many products are available for resale, but come with a catch: you can't edit
them, leaving the original seller's information intact and your information
nowhere to be seen. They are often offered in EXE ebook software format or
the popular PDF format. In short, they are 100% not editable.
It's too important to be able to list your name and website address on any
product you sell¡ªyour customers may not remember off the top of their head
where they purchased it from, so you want to make it very easy to find should
they want to recommend you to a friend (or make additional purchases from
you themselves).
The Product Should Be Useful
It's easy to be tempted to sell the first item you come across, but remember
that your future reputation as a seller is at stake. Take the time to read through
a product before deciding to resell it. If you were looking for this kind of
information, would the product answer your need? Is it well-written and easy to
follow? Does it offer enough or MORE value for the price you're charging?
Many ebooks offers great content but no practical values. It is a sad truth that
many ebooks offered are great in theory and offers little in practical
applications.
The Product Should Be "Themed"
If you have one product that appeals to a certain market (i.e. knitters), it only
makes sense to offer multiple products to the same market. This dramatically
reduces the amount of time and money you have to put into making future
sales. You can use Thesarus for additional help in identifying the different
products that may be related.
Look for multiple products that fit into the same category, or use a niche
product service like EasyNicheProduct.com that already offers niche ebooks in
predetermined groups.
