One reason affiliate marketing is so appealing is because you don't need any sales experience for this business. And since you are advertising for another company's product you don't have to worry about any inventory, processing of orders or the shipping of any products. Another advantage is the absence of contracts that would commit you to the long term sale of any merchandise. If you're not making enough money on one item you can always try another one.

There are ways you can be compensated even if no one buys the product through your link. You can earn money without selling anything if enough people visit your website and you have a pay-per-click arrangement with an advertiser (Google is a very popular one). It can be difficult to get a good search engine ranking, but with a little determination, persistence, and patience, along with the right tools it can be done.

Proper keywords are a necessary ingredient for a high search engine ranking, but you must also pay attention to keyword density.
