A classified ad will probably be TEXT BASED consisting of information ranging from any item being purchased and sold or for offering any useful services with contact details such as name, address and a detailed description of the products or information. As most of the free classifieds websites concentrate on text based ads, there are a handful of websites which allows the advertisements to be displayed with pictures or other graphics. A well designed ad will surely attract large number of users and for that we need a website which supports graphically designed ads.

Online classified advertising is grouped within different categories classifying the products or services being offered allowing the users to attract targeted audience for their publications, for example: Insurance, Automobiles, Caterers, Announcements, Computers, Financial services, Real estate, Jobs, Matrimonies, Personals etc.

The market for free classifieds is increasing in huge numbers, the market for classifieds advertising in United States for the year 2007 is estimated for over $200 billion and free classifieds websites are the most searched websites in advertising world.

In recent times classified advertising or classified ads are not only confined to print media, but are rapidly expanding to internet network. The free ads and free classified advertising have become hot online catchwords. The online classified advertising is increasingly being targeted by Indian community staying in United States to acquire useful information or advertise their services or products and to counter the ever increase in demand for high traffic, some popular free classifieds websites offer incentives to users to advertise more.
