The aloe is a plant originally from Africa. It is a succulent that grows to a
height of 12 to 16 inches spreading by offsets and root sprouts. The leaves are
thick and fleshy, green to grey-green, with a serrated margin. The flowers are
produced on a spike up to 90 cm tall.
