Earlier the main purpose of Myspace.com was to allow the registered users to store and share data files. After the addition of special features Myspace.com evolved as a popular website of the Internet. The special feature of this online community is that in addition to their existing chat rooms the Instant Messenger allows the users to communicate on a one-on-one basis.

Another feature of Myspace.com which is responsible for its growing popularity is its free multimedia feature. It allows for a download of all types of music- rock, hip hop, heavy metal, classic rock, folk or jazz. It allows you to watch videos from bands such as Nine Inch Nails or Chemical Romance. Myspace.com allows you to download songs of local bands, musicians and artists. Music artists can avail of the special feature of creating profiles which enables them to post streaming MP3s.
