Suzuki's 2007 XL7, "Wave" Grand Vitara Debuts at the 2007 SCIAS

In the news: American Suzuki Motor Corporation has presented its array of cars and SUVs at the 2007 South Carolina International Auto Show. Suzuki Motors has also brought their all-new XL7 midsize crossover SUV and their SX4 compact X-over (crossover).

In addition to Suzuki's array of vehicles on display at the show, Greenville auto enthusiasts will also be treated to view the Suzuki "Wave" Grand Vitara which is designed for water sport enthusiasts. The Wave reflects Suzuki's "Way of Life" brand philosophy which they dedicate for their consumers with active lifestyles.

According to Koichi Suzuki, President of ASMC Automotive Operations, "American Suzuki rolls into the South Carolina International Auto Show poised for an impressive 2007 campaign. We are coming off a record-setting year led by the popular Grand Vitara and top-selling Forenza family of vehicles, and we're set to continue the momentum into the next model year with the XL7 and SX4."

American Suzuki has achieved an impressive 23% increase for its 2006 annual sales record compared to what it achieved for 2005. It has sold 100,990 vehicles and for the first time in ASMC's 21 year history it was able to sell more than 100,000 units. Suzuki's diverse lines of vehicle offer diverse features, styles and toughness that suit various personalities at prices that are below the competition. All of the 2007 Suzuki models are covered by America's #1 Warranty: 100,000-mile/seven-year, fully transferable, zero deductible powertrain limited warranty.

Suzuki XL7

The 2007 Suzuki XL7 is a combination of SUV versatility and safety that increase driving and riding pleasure. It is an all-wheel-drive, seven passenger vehicle with three-row seating that provides adaptability for active and mobile lifestyles. The XL7 is powered by 3.6 liter, V6, DOHC engine rated at 252 horsepower with 243 lb-ft of torque matched to a five-speed automatic transmission that is fitted with manumatic controls.

XL7's long list of standard features include: four airbags tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), traction control system (TCS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP)(1). Other added features include: remote keyless entry, tilt steering wheel, power windows with the latest window regulators & motors, door locks and mirrors, two 12 volt accessory outlets, cruise control, 17 inch alloy wheels, satin silver trim, air conditioning with automatic climate control, trip computer, automatic headlamps, AM/FM/CD audio system with six speakers and privacy glass.

The XL7 is offered in three trims: XL7(Luxury and Limited), XL7 (five and seven passenger configurations and available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive), and the XL7 Luxury adds leather appointed interior, power driver seat, heated front seats, wood trim accents and 17 inch alloy wheels.

The top-of-the-line XL7 Limited features standard seven-passenger seating and adds fog lamps, rear spoiler, upgraded roof racks with aluminum lower bumper valances, premium XM Satellite Radio-ready audio system with even speakers including subwoofer, auto-dimming antiglare rearview mirror with compass, remote starter and DVD entertainment system.

There are also three optional packages that are offered the three trim levels such as: the seven-passenger seating package (available for the XL7 and XL7 Luxury), the DVD entertainment package (available on three-row luxury) that features a DVD entertainment system with wireless headphones and remote starter system, and the Platinum Touring package that features a touch-screen navigation system, 17 inch chrome-plated alloy wheels with one of a kind design and sunroof.
