Samsung D900: the ultra performance slider.

By Grace Lewis

The Samsung D900 with a thickness of just 12.9mm, is part of hottest and the most hip 'Ultra Edition'. The slim slider weighs a feather light 85 gm mainly because of the use of stylish matte soft touch plastic and absence of metals. The D900 is very beautifully crafted and designed in black colour, diluted by silver insertions.

Slider has auto-opening mechanism, so an effortless slide lights up the QVGA resolution display which is able to show up to 262k colours (TFT). The singled out soft keys are bigger and very comfortable to work with. Interestingly, the handset 'remembers' the function you addressed last time so takes you directly there when you open the phone again. This feature might sound ordinary but not found in any other mobile phones.

The Samsung D900 is packed with a 3.2 megapixel camera with zoom, auto-focus and flash. Video recording and playback is supported too. A basic image editor also finds its place. A high quality MP3/AAC/ACC+ player produces awesome sound on the 3D sound speaker or headphones. Quite a few Java games are built in which have the potential to keep you engaged for hours. You have 60 Mb embedded memory pool, which is expandable with popular microSD memory card to carry your world with you.

Quad band support makes the Samsung D900 functional almost all over the world. Speedy Internet connection through GPRS/EDGE (Class 10), WAP 2.0/xHTML browser and a high grade email client which not only allow you to 'blacklist' addresses but also contents.

Download attachments of your office files and view them on Document viewer. If you find the 2.1 inch screen too small, watch it on any external device with TV output. Enjoy faster connectivity for synchronization and data transfers with latest Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 1.1

Samsung D900 is one of the very few designer handset which can boast of such a rich feature list.
