5 Easy Traffic Boosting Techniques You Can Do Now!

By Steve Vickers

I have read information in eBooks, on forums, in hard copy and in every other format you can imagine about websites and how they get traffic. Try this little experiment: Go to Google or Yahoo which ever search engine you prefer and perform a search for your favorite topic. Now look at the top 10 listings (not the ones that are sponsor ads or in the paid advertising links on the side) but the ones that are real results. Now go to each one of those sites and what do you notice they have in common?

Rich Content! That's right each one of those sites in the top rankings has plenty of content for you to read through. Sure they will have ads on their page but they provide you with good quality information.

And let's face it that's what each of us wants when we do a search right. We want rich content. So how do you constantly provide rich content to your visitors? Well read on my friend and discover how you can boost traffic to your site by providing rich website content.

Do you publish an ezine? If you do; Index each issue that you send on your site in an archive folder. This will provide your site with a constant feed of keyword rich content to your site.

If you don't already have one; put an articles page on your site. If you are practicing basic website promotion techniques you should already be writing articles and submitting them to directories. Well Archive these same articles on your site and provide a link to each of them from your new articles page. And if you are a subscriber to industry related ezines and you come across an article you like; add it to your page! Just remember to give credit where credit is due.

OK this one is really easy. And it only requires you copy a few lines of code to one of your pages. Add Free Syndicated Content Feeds to the articles page you have created. You will have a constant stream of new articles to supply to your readers.

Here are 2 of my favorites:

For an example of what this looks like check out my page:

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. No I am not talking about you generating traffic to your site through an ad campaign. I am talking about PPC ads on your site. You can create web pages around specific keywords which relate to the theme of your site. Then add a PPC feed to your page and voila you now have an ad campaign working to provide an additional source of income for you, because you get paid for every time a visitor (not you) clicks on an ad on your page. 2 of my favorites are Google Adsense and SearchFeed.

Linking! Linking! Linking! Do I need to say it again? If you haven't already done this then start now. One way links and reciprocal links help build traffic to your site. There are a number of was to get this accomplished but I would suggest starting now! It is a great way to continually add content to your site and build links pointing back to your site. I recommend starting out with Links Manager. You can check them out here:

I will go into more detail about the different types of links and how to get this accomplished properly. Use your imagination. Continue to think of new and easy ways to keep adding fresh content to your website. Go to Google and do a search for "Fresh Content For My Website" without the Quotation marks. Currently there are Over 6.5 million results that come up. Everything from cut and paste charts, to RSS feeds and a whole lot more.

Like I said in the beginning; "Content Really Is King". In my own personal experience I have found my position with the search engines improve dramatically when I started building web pages and adding more fresh content.

It takes time at first to get things going, but the payoff in the long run is huge when the search engines reward your effort and your traffic and income grow proportionally as well.
