Disney Cruise Vacation: What Are Your Options?
By Jane Brennan
Cruises are becoming more and more popular with families. However, some
parents are opting out of cruises for more "traditional" family vacations
because of fears that there may not be enough appropriate entertainment or other
children on board. Of course, not all cruises are family-friendly, but many
cruise lines are now offering cruises especially for families.
What To Do
There are many cruises that are designed specifically with families in mind.
Here are just some of the things that you might find to do on these
family-friendly cruises.
• Cruises designed to be family-friendly should have a wide range of amenities
designed for the younger guests. In addition to the amenities for adults, check
out the children's activities as well. The good cruises will have lots of toys
and games for children to use. However, also look for cruises that may not offer
TV and video games, and encourage your children to enjoy the sunshine and other
activities.
• When choosing a cruise line, make sure there are also many activities planned
for children as well as the adults. Make sure the activities are based on the
ages and interests of your children. Some of these activities may include things
like painting and crafts, and may also include learning projects geared to the
locations the ship will be visiting. Make sure that your children are going to
have enough activities that will aid in their meeting others they will like. If
you have found a good cruise line, most of these children and youth activities
are done without parents, so that the parents will have ample time to do the
things that they would like to do too. But make sure the children and youth are
well-supervised.
• In addition to individual activities, family-friendly cruises should also
offer you the ability to have family activities as well. Many have pools
designed just for children and families. The ports of call may also be
fun-filled for the kids on board, and a good place for the entire family to
spend time together.
If you want to be assured your children are well catered for, take a ride on the
Disney Cruise Line.
Sailing with Mickey Mouse and his friends is always a fun for children. Disney
goes beyond the call of duty to create magic for the entire family. The ship
itself is designed with the Disney fan in mind, with a vibrantly colored ship
and many of the favorite things associated with the Disney association.
When you are planning a trip with children, make sure to book a trip that is
full of fun for the entire family. With the Disney Cruise Lines, you will find a
wide range of activities offered to your children, but enough to keep you busy
as well. Your only choice will be how long to stay. About the Author If you're planning a Disney holiday then you'll be sure to want to find out the insider information. Get all the Disneyland Hotel and Vacation Tips for Walt Disney World Orlando: www.disneylandtips.com
