The Awesome Untapped Power Within You

By Neil Millar

It's true! Most of us go through life using only a fraction of our full potential.

There is a real power inside us that remains untapped. Because of this, far to many of us are not living the life we hope for and deserve. What I want to do is share with you a way to do this.

Would you like that?

The good news is that living the life we most want to have is not that hard. The truth is the outcome we're constantly stretching for is within our reach. It's just got blurred and out of focus because of all the day-to-day routine stuff we think we have to do in order to survive.

Let me demonstrate this.

Hold your hand out at arms length, palm towards you. Then focus on the wall behind your hand. Do you notice how your hand blurs. This is what happens to us when we handle all the day-to-day stuff - the real desires that are right under our nose get blurred and ignored.

So, how do we change things around?

First, let's get to grips with what you really want. When most of us write down a goal, it is often material or tangible outcome that we're seeking. Yet if you drive this goal down to it's root, they'll be a real heartfelt emotion down there.

Here's a few examples:

We want to lose weight: Drive that down and the outcome will be to feel good. Beyond that you'll find happiness wrapped up in self-acceptance and self-love.

We want a successful relationship: Drive this goal down and we find we want to share our ups and downs with a mate. Go a little further and we'll again find happiness and love. Loving gets us loved as a by product of the love we offer.

We want a new career: Drive this goal down and it will most often be about the perceived value of self through money. Again it's about happiness through feeling good about what we own and posses.

What happens when we combine the root of our goals with the demonstration with the hand?

Write happiness and self-love on the palm of your hand and raise it up in front of you. Then focus on the wall. Do you see how it blurs?

Simply put, all we all want is happiness and to feel love within. The problem is though, we externalise our desires and so live in a constant struggle of never having enough and never feeling good enough.
There is a simple truth we are missing.

Rather than focus on the wall with your hand, focus on your hand. You know the wall is there. But so long as you focus on your hand, you stay focused on what really matters.

What I'm saying is focus on what really matter. Focus on now. Focus on how happy and self-loved you feel in this moment.

For most of us this could do with a little improving.

How do you do that?

Simple:
1. List all the really good friends and family members we have around us.
2. Consider all the work and energy that went into making your home and possessions. Think through the process of who got involved and what job they did and how many years of evolution it took. (Think about your car engine later, because it might take a while).
3. Go outside into the fresh air. Stop walking and take a good slow breath. When did last appreciate the oxygen that fuels your cells and keeps you alive.
4. If you have children, pause a minute and think about the wonder of their birth. Look at them now. Think of what they went through to get where they are and think of all you went through to help them. Your both incredible. Understand that.
5. Watch a child at play. When you're alone play their game on your own. See what it feels like to be a child again.
6. Look at your garden. Consider how many thousands of years it has been growing before your home was built and you came to live there. It was always there, waiting eons for your to arrive and care for it. Return it's patience when you venture outside.
7. Contemplate where you came from. Did you come from God or from another all giving source? If you did then surely you can always be enough… always be happy.

To be happy and loved all we have to do is correct our focus. The world is full of miracles. You are one of those miracles. Other miracles constantly surround you. Learn to appreciate the miracles and mystery of life and you will forever be happy and you will always have and attract more than you could ever want.

Love and some very good wishes to you

Neil
