Focus' Winning Streak Continues

This year proves to be a good year for Focus, a compact car from Ford. Earlier, Ford Focus RS won the title - World Rally Car 06. Now, it is bagging the FIA WRC Manufacturers' Championship for Ford.
Focus RS WRC 06 was conceptualized and created by M-Sport and specialist engineers in Ford TeamRS, the automaker's in-house performance car and motorsport division. Ford Focus was introduced in 1998 in Europe and in 2000 in North America. Since its inception, Focus has become the best-selling car in the United Kingdom. The handling, driver responsiveness and ride offered by the car are commended by the motoring press. Auto parts Ford Focus that includes rear suspension, also gathered praises from critics in the industry. The performance, ergonomics and style also contribute to the stunning appeal and drive of Ford Focus.
"This Championship victory is the result of a tremendous team effort, and everyone at Ford is proud of what the car and the team has achieved this year," said John Fleming, President and CEO of Ford of Europe. "To secure the manufacturers' title in our first year of running with an all-new WRC car is more than we had dared hope for, and I would like to pay tribute to everyone involved with the BP-Ford World Rally team."

World Rally Car is the term employed to mean a racing automobile that is manufactured in accordance with the specification set by the FIA. Said car is used to compete in the outright class of the World Rally Championship.
FIA, on the other hand, is short for Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. It is a non-profit organization that was established in 1904. Said organization is aimed at promoting the interest of motor car owners as well as motoring organizations.
"Over the years, I believe the team has developed into one of the best squads in the Motorsport business," said Jost Capito, Director of Ford TeamRS. "This victory means a great deal to the team, but it is also a huge reward to all of the Ford employees, Ford Motorsport fans and Ford performance vehicle enthusiasts worldwide who have given us amazing support at every event. The title would not have been won without the most significant members of the team delivering superb results over and over," Capito concluded.
