A Royal Christmas

By Samuel Hary

This is for all those inquisitive souls who want to peep into the Royal family Christmas celebrations. Well, we'll gladly enlighten you on the subject.

The present Royal Family has a tradition of spending their Christmas at their Sandringham house in Norfolk Unlike the belief; they like to spend the festival by visiting the church and having a Christmas lunch together like any other family. Then they all sit together to listen to the Queen's speech at 3 PM.

The family gathers in a white drawing room for the Christmas Eve. The 20 feet Christmas tree is decorated by the Queen herself, is especially cut from the royal estate. The family sits together for the evening tea at 5 PM. The queen signals the members to open their Christmas gifts at 6 PM on the Christmas Eve which is a German tradition. The rest of the evening is spent in jubilations of the merry occasion.

On the Christmas day, the royal family pays a visit to St. Mary Magdalene church for the morning service at around 11 AM after having a full English breakfast. Generally, a giant turkey is served for the lunch that is reared on the estate for the occasion. 3 'O clock is the time, when the family sit together in a saloon, warmed with the log fire to listen to the queen's speech that's broadcasted on TV.

However, this year the Queen plans to relinquish the traditional Sandringham house to celebrate the festival. Instead, they plan to commemorate the festival at the Windsor Castle. The monarch has made this change after considering the request from his son Charles and grandsons William and Harry. Windsor castle is a place near to their home and of course the young princes will have a chance to spend time with their respective girlfriends as well!

Incidentally, Windsor castle used to hold overgenerous parties for the Christmas at the time of Queen Victoria, the great great grandmother of the present Empress.

Also, Prince Charles plans to spend the Christmas vacation in Scotland along with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. Prince William and Prince Harry are flying to Switzerland and Africa respectively with their partners for the vacations.

So if you plan to celebrate the occasion in a royal spirit, incorporating all the exclusive gifts, delicacies and travel packages, you can take your pick at our website www.ukonlinemarket.com. Let's celebrate this event in a complete royal manner. Hail Christmas!
