The Wagon With Passion

By Jenny McLane

Volvo Car's S40 model is a vehicle that has been produced since the year 1995 and up until the present this vehicle is still being manufactured. It took the place that used to belong to the Volvo 440 and is now an entrant to the compact luxury car and small family car segments. This vehicle already has already lived through its first generation and the current range of Volvo S40 vehicles are actually second generation units.

Built with the best type of Volvo auto parts, the Volvo S40 has recently made its way to Britons' hearts for they have actually voted this station wagon as their favorite passion wagon. During such a voting event, the Volvo S40 topped all other vehicles that were surely great contenders and competition. The list does include the Mercedes Benz Sprinter which is a van, the Volkswagen van Camper, the much known BMW 3 Series, the four door station wagon Ford Escort, the luxury sports car Audi TT, the comfortable 4 x 4 Land Rover Discovery, four door station wagon Ford Focus, the remarkable Volkswagen Golf, and the sporty Porsche Carrera. But despite competing which such vehicles, the Volvo S40 was the one who successfully got the majority votes.

According even to Volvo Cars, they have created this second generation Volvo S40 as one vehicle that would be targeted mostly at those customers who are still quite young but has just the right amount of money who could afford the vehicle. Sure enough, the company does not need to simply target only one type of consumer. After all, with the Volvo S40's spacious interior and leather seats, many other types of customers would surely be heading towards purchasing this vehicle. An added plus would also be those high technology and interesting features and equipment that come with the vehicle. The list does include auto remote control buttons which have been mounted on the steering wheel itself. The sound system of the vehicle is also the tops.

Just like any other Volvo car and vehicle, the Volvo S40 station wagon has got the Volvo touch and style. And one can surely find class and elegance in this vehicle. And if you do take a ride inside the cabin, you would surely be interested in the center stack which has been designed so much so that it appears to be floating. Mind you, this center stack has been created to be state of the art. Plus, storing your cargo and your other things would not be a hassle for the vehicle has been designed so as to be able to hold more things in its storage space which has been hidden from view.
