The recent automotive reports reflect the shift of auto enthusiasts to small, refined and sporty-looking cars. As an aftermath of this striking shift, automakers are expanding their offering of significantly compact luxury crossovers and SUVs.

One of the most visible small cars on the road is BMW X3. The car is the little sibling of X5, a high-performance mid-size vehicle. The sales figures have triggered other automakers to come up with their own version of the car.
