There are hundreds of great household tips that will save you money. The best part is, most of these tips require ingredients that you already have lying around your house! Listed below are a few of these tips that use Bounce fabric softener sheets and Baking Soda.
Bounce Fabric Softener Uses:
+It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them.
+Before doing a messy crafts project, rub your hands with a Bounce sheet. Glue and paint will come right off!
+It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.
+Repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop outdoors during mosquito season.
+Eliminates static electricity from the television screen. Wipe screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling.
+Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with a Bounce sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh.
+Dissolve soap scum from shower doors by wiping down with a sheet of Bounce.
+Freshen the air in your home. Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
+Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
+Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.
+Freshen the air in your car. Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
+Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean.
+Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.
+Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
+Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
+Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at bottom of laundry bag or hamper.
+Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
Baking Soda Uses:
+Did you burn your favorite pan? Put 1/2 cup of baking soda in the pan and fill it 1/2 full with water. Set the pan on the stove and let boil, until the burnt particles float to the top.
+Do you have coffee, tea or cigarette burns on your china and ceramic ware? Rub the stained sections with a damp cloth that has been dipped in baking soda.
+Have food stuck on your casserole dishes? Fill with boiling water and add 3 tablespoons of baking soda or salt and let sit for an hour.
+Have a drain in your sink that is clogged? Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda over the drain and then pour a cup of vinegar over it. Let set for a minute until it foams, then run your hot water or pour boiling water down the drain. You may need to repeat the process. It works for simple clogs.
+Have silver? Polish it to a shine with a soft cloth and some dampened baking soda placed on the cloth.
+Counters or stove have stuck on grease splatters or dried food? Sprinkle baking soda on the areas and then rub with a wet sponge. Rinse with clean sponge. This also works for a countertop that has grape juice or other fruit stains, too. You sometimes need to do two applications.
