Mazda Delivers The Special-Edition
By Kimberly Meyer
Mazda UK has earlier bared its third special-edition RX-8 dubbed as 'Nemesis'. It can be recalled that RX-8 special edition was started by Evolve and PZ. The recent addition to said special edition of cars is based on the 192 PS.
According to the automaker, there will be only 350 units of RX-8 Nemesis in the United Kingdom, 200 of which will be in Copper Red and the remaining 150 will be in stormy Blue finish. Aside from the traditional power Mazda RX8 parts, Nemesis will be given exclusive badging and a Rotary logo on the B-pillar. The aluminum polished Rotary crest in the air dam and vents in the front wheel arches are also incorporated in the car to emphasize its peculiarity and exclusivity.
Mazda RX-8 Nemesis is given a mighty twin 1.3-litre 192ps rotary engine that provides outstanding performance that blends well with its aura and feel. The Nemesis has a peak speed of 139 mph and accelerates from standstill to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. The automaker is expecting that Nemesis will hit the market like a soaring rocket. With the RX-8 stylish look and power performance that triggered the 'Best Coupe 2006' award, Nemesis influence is expected to draw fanatics closer and make the automaker's vision a reality.
Since the launch of Mazda RX-8, over 20,000 units of said car has been sold by Mazda to the customers in the UK. Nemesis, along with other RX-8s, is given heated front seats, climate control air-conditioning, front fog lights, electrically-operated driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, nine-speaker BOSE premium audio system with 6-CD auto-changer, 6 airbags, as well as gear knob and hand-brake lever.
Nemesis also features two distinctive paint colors (Copper Red Mica and Stormy Blue Mica) and interior trim plus an exclusive accessory package. Additionally, Nemesis has branded aluminum door scuff plates and luxury carpet mats.
Mazda RX-8 Nemesis on the road is priced at £22,995. It is £330 less than the conventional RX-8 model. Said price includes a free complimentary Prodrive experience.
