Who needs a doctor

If you have a computer with an internet connection and you have an access to a credit card number, a prescription for nearly any medication - from narcotic painkillers to Viagra, Cialis could soon be on its way to your home. With a boom of internet pharmacies (ex. European pharmacy, French Pharmacy to name a few), and with a system like this who needs a doctor?
For the last few years internet pharmacies are enjoying a huge consumer base which allows consumers to order medicine, prescription and / or over-the-counter drugs, through the internet. The increased adoption of e-Prescribing will serve as a significant driver in the expansion of the online pharmacies in the years to come.
Many online pharmacies offer a variety of medications including addictive painkillers, lifestyle drugs, ED drugs like Viagra, Cialis, and do not adhere to safeguards and ethical guidelines to protect patients; the potential for harm to consumers seems enormous.
Let's take the example of ED drug Cialis. Buying Cialis or generic Cialis online is extremely convenient. Dozens of internet sites are selling Generic Cialis or brand name Cialis online. These online pharmacies which offer cheap generic Cialis or cheap Cialis are rather too attractive as it is possible to buy generic Cialis up to 60% cheaper than the brand name Cialis from an authentic internet site or a pharmacist. It is often difficult for the consumer to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate internet pharmacies.
These ED drugs have serious side effects. Erectile Dysfunction could be caused due to many reasons like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc., Cialis is not recommended for patients who suffer from fluctuating blood pressure or are taking any forms of nitrate. If a person is lactose intolerant or has grape juice during the treatment, the patient may experience undesirable side effects.
Some drugs can alter the way Cialis works in the body or vice versa. For this reason some drugs are not recommended for use while taking Cialis. The drugs can interact in such a way that they could cause serious side effects.
There is no problem unless the pharmacy skips the critical step of ensuring that a physician familiar with the patient has actually written the prescription. In some cases, only the scrutiny of an online questionnaire stands in the way of a patient and potentially harmful medications.
It is extremely important that any purchase made from these online pharmacies is done through VIPPS certified pharmacies. The state would continue vigorous enforcements on the illegal internet pharmacies but we need to educate the consumer on the dangers of taking medication without proper medical supervision.
