Chlorella is a Whole Food

By Rosa parks

Chlorella

Chlorella is a nutrient-dense green algae, that is beneficial for its effects on serum lipids and cholesterol, hypertension, detoxification and immune enhancement. One of the most important aspects of naturally cultivated Chlorella is its chlorophyll content. In fact Chlorella has five times the amount of chlorophyll than its multi-celled neighbor, spirulina. Chlorophyll production is made possible through natural photosynthesis. It is through this natural process that Chlorella gets its rich green color.
Chlorella is a single-celled algae originally produced as a source of protein for populations that could not afford animal protein foods. Yet chlorella offers more than protein. Miraculous stories have surfaced of people getting noticeable improvement in health and well being when consuming chlorella. When you realize that chlorella contains carotenoids, magnesium, and the super detoxifier chlorophyll-the health benefits of which have been well documented-we begin to understand chlorella's healing power. Americans are chronically low in magnesium and in great need of detoxifying. Chlorella may be the perfect antidote to our refined foods, nutrient-poor diets and toxic environment.

Composition of Chlorella

Chlorella has many interesting nutritional properties. It contains more chlorophyll per gram than any other plant. For comparison, Spirulina contains 7.6 gm of chlorophyll per kilogram, whereas Chlorella contains 20-25 gm per kilogram. In addition, dehydrated Chlorella powder is from 50 to 60 percent protein, and is a significant source of beta-carotene, RNA, and vitamin B-12 (nearly 1.5 times that found in beef liver and therefore an excellent supplement for vegetarians). Chlorella powder also contains vitamin C, vitamin B-1, vitamin B-2, vitamin B-3, vitamin B-5, vitamin B-6, folic acid, and biotin.

Benefits of Chlorella

Chlorella contains iron and will actually raise iron levels. Although iron is an essential and important nutrient, excessive levels can cause significant harm. Chlorella herbs is also a rich source of the remarkable mineral magnesium. Magnesium performs no less than 300 different tasks in the body. It is essential for heart function, immune function, blood pressure regulation, blood sugar balance, stroke prevention, and for both muscle strength and muscle relaxation. It is critical for energy production. It promotes mental health, relieves PMS, and reduces asthma attacks. No cell in the body can function without this mineral.

Chlorella improves digestion

Chlorella contains enzymes such as chlorophyllase and pepsin, which are digestive enzymes. Enzymes perform a number of important functions in the body. In fact, you can not even blink without the presence of enzymes. Chlorella herbs has many different types of enzymes that our bodies need.
Chlorella can help heal the GI tract. Ulcers, colitis, Crohn's disease and diverticulosis all seem to do better when chlorella is part of the diet. Animal studies have shown that chlorella is effective at healing ulcers. Chlorella supplements has also been found to stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria which are essential for intestinal health. Chlorella supplements can speed up the rate of cleansing of the bowel, bloodstream and liver, by supplying plenty of chlorophyll.

Chlorella strengthens immune system

Chlorella is also an immune booster. It contains a compound known as chlorella that stimulates the body to make more interferon. Chlorella helps protector cells, called macrophages, function more effectively.

Chlorella removes heavy metals and chemicals

Chlorella can also aid the body in the breakdown of persistent hydrocarbon and metallic toxins such as DDT, PCB, mercury, cadmium and lead, while strengthening the immune system response. In Japan, interest in chlorella has focused largely on its detoxifying properties its ability to neutralize or remove poisonous substances from the body.
Chlorella supplements  plays a particularly crucial role in systemic mercury elimination because the majority of mercury is rid through stool. Once the mercury burden is lowered from the intestines, mercury from other body tissues will more readily migrate into the intestines  where chlorella herbs will effectively remove it.

Chlorella balance blood sugar

Experiments have shown that chlorella tends to normalize blood sugar in cases of hypoglycemia while numerous personal testimonies show that it also helps take care of diabetes. In hypoglycemia, blood sugar is too low, while in diabetes, blood sugar is too high.
Chlorella supplements have been effective in treating and even reversing the following conditions:

- Cancers (all types)
- Obesity
- Diabetes
- Hypoglycemia
- Arthritis
- Depression
- Severe liver damage and liver disorders
- Intestinal ulcers
- Hemorrhoids
- Asthma
- High blood pressure
- Constipation
- Bleeding gums
- Infections
- Inflammation of joints and tissues
- Body odor / breath odor
- Various degenerative diseases
- Essential fatty acid deficiencies
- Mineral deficiencies (magnesium is a common deficiency)
