More Organizations Out To Battle Underage Drinking

By Kenneth McKinley

Many local organizations in various countries all around the globe are out to do battle against underage drinking. They do not do this just because of the health of their teenagers and the young ones. These organizations are head set on stopping such drinking because their main concern is safety.

In North America, the Michael Andretti Foundation has joined up with other groups like Beam Global Spirits and Wine, Inc. and the Canadian Club® to fight such drinking behavior. And their strength continues to grow as they also team up with local organizations that are also trying to find ways to defeat such an issue. These groups would be holding out a campaign that would be providing the right amount of information to parents and guardians. The very reason for this information dissemination campaign would be to actually encourage these grown ups to take the responsibility to know what their teenagers are up to. This move likewise pushes parents and guardians alike to share to their teens the statistics and their knowledge about the dangers that underage drinking brings about.

With more and more parents laying down their cards about the underage drinking issue with their teenagers, it is more likely that the numbers would surely go down. You see, according to the most recent study conducted by The Century Council, there are some 812 youths who were underage that got arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. This number is just for the state of Michigan. Good thing if these young ones just get to wreck small parts of your vehicle like your Volvo S40 car parts. But the damages do not just end there. We all do know that when people drink and then drive, they do have higher chances of meeting crashes and collisions. And these incidents could lead and result to injuries. Or they could also mean the loss of innocent lives.
