Details of the Discover Platinum Card Application

By Joshua Shapiro

This Discover Platinum card is a great card for anyone with excellent credit history and looking to spend and earn money back at the same time. Once you become a card holder you will be able to earn up to 5% in cash rebates back with any purchases made through selected merchants and up to a full 1% in cash rebates with general purchases. These incentives are created to encourage you to use your credit card as much as possible. This can be good or bad depending on the card holder. Using your credit card frequently can create a history of great credit or a large bill every month.

There are many extra bonuses and benefits that come with the Discover Platinum card, such as if you spend your cash rebate at any of the Discover Card partner stores you can earn Double the Cash. This is the easiest way to earn extra money with your Discover Platinum card. Also there is no yearly limit on how many cash rebates you can earn and there is no expiration date on them either, as long as your account remains active.

The Discover Platinum card charges no annual fee and a 0% APR rate on purchases and balance transfers for the first year of your membership for those who qualify. In order to qualify for this Discover Platinum card you must have an excellent credit history to take advantage of this card and its corresponding benefits. These are benefits that not many other credit cards offer their cardholders and they should be taken advantage of.

This card utilizes the Two Cycle Average Daily Balance to determine your finance charges. This method is more costly than the Daily Average Balance method, especially if you are a card holder who constantly owes a balance on your card.

The Discover Platinum card has its advantages as well as disadvantages for any card holder. The more you spend, the more you earn! If you are able to pay off your full monthly bills than this card is perfect for you!
