Online Jewelry vs. Traditional Jewelry Stores
By Afshin Yaghtin
Why is online jewelry a better value compared to brick and mortar stores?
It happens every time you walk into a store. "Excuse me, ma'am, are you looking for something?" Every time, you resist the urge to politely explain that if you wanted help you would have asked for it and offer a simple, "no, thank you." Often times we forget about the additional opportunities that the Internet offers us. We have the option to enter any store at any time from the privacy of our own homes. One of the best facets of online shopping is that of online jewelry. The Internet has forever changed the way people shop for jewelry.
Online jewelry shopping lets you see pictures of the product from several different angles. Product descriptions, right down to the size, weight, karat and metallurgy are readily available, as opposed to having a salesperson spend precious time searching through a binder for these same facts. Detailed information about purchasing, shipment, and return policy are available at the click of a button. Reviews and information about every online jewelry vendor is available on each site. Customer service is paramount, and online vendors have to compete over you.
Savvy Internet customers make price comparisons on the piece of
jewelry that interests them by looking up the piece on several websites. No
longer do you have to drive to three different stores! Three clicks of the mouse
and three online jewelry stores are at your fingertips. This is both a time and
a sanity saver. Another asset of online jewelry shopping is faster delivery
service. A website accurately depicts its stock and delivery time, whereas a
store will only give you an estimate as to when it can have something available.
People agree, however, that price is the best reason to shop online. Most online
jewelry stores do not have actual brick and mortar stores, so they are able to
give you the item at a large discount, usually close to wholesale price! Without
numerous employees, stores to pay rent on, and security to worry about, the
online vendor provides the customer with the best possible value. One such
online jewelry store is Apples of Gold Jewelry. Their prices often beat their competitors' both online and offline. Their "about us" page, says of their jewelry, "The difference is not the jewelry. The difference is the price". These and other online jewelry stores are an excellent source in today's age for getting the best value, quickly, efficiently, while still maintaining your high standards for quality jewelry.
It is readily apparent when making the comparison that online jewelry shopping gives the consumer a wider product selection and clear cut payment procedures. With the click of a button you can purchase low-cost, high quality merchandise and know exactly what you're getting and from where it will arrive. When added together with the ease of shopping from home, and having all of the information at your fingertips, is it any wonder that online jewelry sales have increased greatly in the past several years?
