Jewellery To Suit You By Fiona Vurnum
With various trips to different jewellery stores hunting for that perfect
accessory can be more than a little stressful. But it doesn't have to be,
if you know what you are looking for. Choosing which jewellery to wear
is no different than choosing an outfit. The key is to trust your taste
and stick to your personal fashion style. For example if you're an animal
lover you can choose from numerous animal jewellery available in the
market, from birds, cats and dogs, to dolphins and even horse
jewellery.
What's important is that the jewellery should match with the outfit you
are wearing. Jewellery is the finishing touch on your total look that will
emphasize your sense of style. The first step is to determine what you
want them to do. Would you like to be the centre of attention or just
to add a little glamour? Another factor to consider, is the occasion you'll
be wearing it to. It's vital to make be sure that it is fitting for the
event. For instance a sexy oversized choker might be perfect for a
night on the town, with the girls, but not for work!
Unlike in clothes, there is no need to stick with just one designer even
though most people have a favourite. There's no need to fill your
jewellery box with designer pieces, there are a lot of wonderful pieces
that are unsigned but will make a fashion statement. Try going through
your jewellery box, take out everything you have and mixing and
matching your old pieces with newer ones to give them character and
bring them back to life.
The prize of the piece should also be considered. Costume Jewellery,
designer or not, is an example of fine jewellery and yet it is affordable.
A lot of jewellery stores sell costume jewellery at a much lower price
and some of the designs go way back to 1920s. What's great about
them is that you can use it, get tired of it, put it away and still get your
money's worth.
The last and perhaps the most crucial factor to be considered is the
piece's size and shape. In this case, bigger doesn't necessarily mean its
better. Going for bigger earrings, for example, when your face is small
may actually detract rather than compliment. Large rings can be worn
alone for extra 'Bling'. It's always good to experiment and find out
what looks best on you. No matter what your tastes are, your likes and
dislikes, you will be able to find something to enhance your style and
make a fashion statement!
