Does the above mentioned list scream Chinese to you? Well, if it does, then you do not know much about fuel additives then. The list given actually are all fuel additives that are usually used in most vehicles at present.

Fuel additives are also known as gasoline additives. What they do is they actually help increase your car fuel's octane rating. Aside from this, some fuel additives also act as factors that make corrosion slower. They also become lubricators in your car's engine. In the whole sense, fuel additives actually allow your engine to have higher compression ratios that leads to greater efficiency and power.

So now you think fuel additives are good for your car? Well, not all fuel additives do good. Some even create harm to your car. In fact, according to the Automotive Specialty Products Alliance, or the ASPA, you should not try adding diesel fuel additives to your new vehicle especially if these additives do not carry labels that it has been approved to be used on newer engines.

Mainly, this actually has coincided with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) regulations that after June 1st of this year, all diesel fuel additives should have to include label information that informs the market if such fuel additives has been accepted to be good if added to 2007 model year diesel engines. This is a good move for automobile experts report that if the wrong fuel additive is added to your engine, your car might undergo much serious problems and would generate a huge amount of expenses on your end.
