Toli Cefail Shares How To Kick The White Bread Habit

How To Kick The White Bread Habit & Still Enjoy Eating

This article outlines how I successfully kicked my white bread habit and actually got to the point where I naturally don't want a lot of bread and most days don't eat any bread.

If you're trying to do a low-carb or healthy carb diet, kicking the white bread habit is going to have to be a part of it. You may find it hard to do if you try it cold turkey. In fact, you may have already tried and failed. The key to succeeding with removing white bread from your diet is using a gradual approach and substituting with healthy alternatives.

First: Make the decision that you are going to kick the white bread habit.

Second: Begin reducing your white bread consumption by at least half. Instead of having 2 hot dogs with 2 buns, have one bun & divide it into 2 pieces. When you have a sandwhich, use only one piece of bread. Pile on the meat, condiments & veggies to make up for the missing bread.

Third: Begin removing bread from certain meals altogether. If you're having a great meal in a nice restaurant, skip the pre-meal rolls. Go bunless on your burgers, etc.

Cutting bread into pieces will make it seem like you have more.

Fourth: There are probably certain times when you "must have" bread. During these times, begin substituting Ezekiel bread for your white bread.

Fifth: Gradually work to where you're eating 1 – 3 servings of healthy bread per week until you reach your desired weight.

During the time you're reducing your bread intake, increase your veggies & protein to compensate so you're not hungry.

Sixth: Substitute natural sugars for white sugar (NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS). Use organic cane sugar, turbinado sugar, xylitol, rice syrup, REAL maple syrup, etc. Try to buy your sugars from the health food store or the organic section of your local supermarket.

Using the above system combined with eating mostly organic and moderate exercise twice weekly, I'm now wearing size 4 jeans after having had my 3rd child. You can do it too. – Toli Cefail
