Health News: Are You Cleansing Your Colon?

By Jill Steiger

A healthy colon is absolutely vital to a healthy body. It is by no means the only step, as some would have you believe, but nevertheless essential to regaining optimum health.

To many this may seem a somewhat revolting and disgusting topic and could well be the reason most people do little or nothing about maintaining a healthy colon. However, no one who consumes a "modern" diet can escape the formation of caked deposits on the lining of the colon, which inevitably interferes with its normal function process.

One example of our modern diet is the eating of white bread, which contains little or no fiber and has a vast amount of gluten, which is a very sticky wheat protein. Our digestive system certainly was not created to handle this garbage and is under constant strain to expel it from the body. In a wide variety of cases this "gunky material" ends up blocking or sticking to the colon wall. White bread is but one example of the junk most people consume these days.

Most people would be shocked at what actually comes out of an average "healthy" person during a colonic procedure. Without getting too graphics let's just say that it's certainly not surprising why people tend to shy away from discussing the topic or participate in an actual colonic treatment. Imagine this, if the average person is carrying around all this toxic gunk how can they possibly have a healthy operating system? This unwanted buildup within the colon interferes with peristalsis (the rippling motion of the colon) and can be a primary cause of constipation.

Why is that important? When large amounts of the colon's surface become coated with impermeable dried fecal matter or lumps of mucous three things happen:

1) Delays in expelling fecal matter which increases the amount of toxins absorbed into the body.

2) The absorption and bioavailability of nutrients that the body needs is severely interfered with.

3) Within a normally functioning intestine, water is filtered back into the blood stream. However, if the lining of one's intestine is caked, this water cannot be absorbed and this will lead to severe dehydration.

Dr. Harvey Kellogg, M.D. of the Kellogg Sanitarium said, "Of the 22,000 operations that I have personally performed, I have never found a single normal colon, and of the 100,000 that were performed under my jurisdiction, not over 6% were normal." Huntington Nutracueticals has responded to the medical concerns by developing a 2-phase dual action colon cleansing system to address the internal toxic buildup and the much needed purification of internal organs. Colpurin™ (Phase1) provides a proprietary blend of the finest all-natural herbs, which gently cleanses the gastric system. Colpurin™ (Phase 2) body purification detoxifies the internal organs and provides the opportunity for maximum overall function. Dr. George C. Crile, head of the Crile Clinic in Cleveland and one of the world's greatest surgeons, said: "There is no natural death. All deaths that come from so-called natural causes are merely the end point of progressive acid saturation. Many people go so far as to consider that sickness and disease are just a 'cross' or an element that God gave them to bear here on this earth. However, if they would take care of their body and cleanse their colon and intestines, their problems would be pretty much eliminated, and they could eliminate their 'cross' by proper diet, proper exercise, and, in general, proper living."

We all know that a clean, strong and well functioning colon is quintessential to maintaining the best possible health. A dirty, weak and poorly functioning colon is a serious breeding ground for disease, sickness and death. Serious health problems can arise if the colon is not properly cared for, and based on the statistics; unfortunately colon health care in this country has been sadly neglected.
