How To Use Private Label Articles

Private Label Articles are becoming increasingly popular as web marketers rush to fill their websites with high-quality information. Admittedly, you can get articles written by freelance writers at sites like Elance, and others. For those who are not yet generating traffic to their websites, Private Label Articles (PLA) provides a welcome alternative.
What is Private Label Articles?
PLA generally refers to articles, e-books and manuals that are free for anyone to use as they wish. There are a few restrictions, however: you cannot claim copyright to PLA, or submit it to article sites, unless you change the content significantly. The cost of membership varies, but could range anywhere from around $29 to $57 a month. For this you might receive anywhere from 100 to 200 articles per month.
There are a few things you need to be aware of before using PLA
1. How Can You Use PL Articles?
The most common use for PL articles is to provide useful, interesting content for websites. There are other uses, however. Know your immediate needs. If you require an incentive for people to sign up for your newsletter, you can offer an e-book or training manual made up of PL articles. These should be, most relevant to your website and the needs of your clients.
You may want to create an e-course, one that offers an article for each week of the year. This is an excellent way to keep in touch with clients.
2. How Do You Alter PL Articles?
Submitting articles to public article directories is a great way to generate traffic to your web-sites. However, many directories don't allow you to submit duplicate articles- therefore you must submit your own unique article. When submitting an article that you obtained from a private label source, it's advisable to first alter the article before submitting. Here are a few suggestions to help...
(a) Re-arrange or change the title of the article. If using keyword-optimized articles, be sure to keep the keyword in the title - and be creative about the words surrounding it. If your article is based on the keyword "Spruce Goose", the title could be "How large was the Spruce Goose" or "Designing the Spruce Goose" etc.
(b) Re-write the opening paragraph. Making sure that the keyword appears once. Examine the rest of the paragraph. Say the same thing in a different way? Search for synonyms - using the thesaurus - and alter the tone. You could adopt a more casual Approach you might want to write a different introduction.
(c) Read through the article. Add or subtract a sentence here or there. Offer up the facts in a different order. Expand and add some new points. Break up a long article into two shorter ones.
(d) Re-arrange the ending. Think about what you want your reader to do. This might be a good place to place your own affiliate link, or write a lead-in to your own product or service.
3. Blend Several Articles Together
Take two or more PL articles on the same topic and blend them into one longer, fact-packed article. PL articles are not all created equal! Sometimes it's quite obvious that the writer was low on motivation
4. You Have To Think Outside The Box.
Most PL articles are presented in batches relevant to one niche. For example, you might find that over the course of a month you get 40 articles on golf, 40 on marketing tips, 30 on affiliate programs and 30 on travel. Just say that you are busy building a marketing site. It might seem at first glance that only 40 of the 140 articles are relevant to marketing.
Maybe not! Marketing, for example, is very popular. Could any of your affiliate articles be used to fit the theme of marketing? It's very likely that they could. What about travel information? Could you include travel sites that offer affiliate programs for an extra stream of income?
See how it's done? Be creative in your use of Private Label Articles, and you will definitely make good.
5. Final Tip - Make Quality Your Friend!
Now that Private Label Articles are so popular, more and more PLA sites are opening up. Check out the quality of articles they offer, and especially the niches being targeted. Popular Niches are exactly what you want. You want to go where there is an existing demand. Not obscure niches where there is little activity. Go where there is competition. Be aware that profitable niches will always have competition. Where there is competition, there are buyers! So always seek for competition, and carve out your niche!
Finally, become a member of more than one PLA site. It is worth spending $130 a month on quality, no-strings-attached articles. That amount can get you membership in 4-5 sites and about 300 articles each month. Even if you only use 50 articles, for the money spent, it's still a good buy at $2.60 per article.
