Exploring The Mind

Most people have place themselve at the bottom of life's pyramid. They seem to blame everyone around them for their failures without really taking time to organise their life. Man's life if properly organised can lead to a better life. The better place to start organising your life is mentally; what do you think about yourself ? do you react or respond to life's challenges ? what do you make out of what you face eachday ? Do you have an idea? Remember all great achievements have their beginning with an idea. Think of anything you can see, they all began with an idea, someone first conceived it then set to work because he believes what the mind can believe, it can achieve.
In one of his books Bill Newman said "Minds certainly are like parachutes, they only function when they are open". Now how can we open our minds?
v BY CLEARING THE COBWEBS FROM OUR THINKING: there are seeds of self destruction in all of us that will bear only unhappiness if allowed to grow and these seeds of negative must be uprooted and this can be done by making sure our thinking is positive and straight. Napoleon Hill said that man is the only being who has power and influence over his emotions and environment. These environmental influences can be: passions, habits, beliefs and prejudices, emotions.
Most people are slaves to these external forces and for them to be free from these environmental influences, they must start first with a change in behaviour and when we have that positive behaviour, we are in control of our minds.
v HAVING THE RIGHT MIND: One of the most important lesson in life is that success must continually be won and is never finally achieved Bill Newman. In our society today, most people really believe that success are for those who are fortunate enough to inherit it from their parents. But truly success are for those better equipped mentally and ready to seize every opportunity that calls at them. As Coach Vince Lombardi said "Winning is not a some-time-thing, it is an all-the-time-thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right one in a while, you do then right all the time. Winning is a habit, unfortunately so is losing.
Maybe you should know that you are totally responsible for what results that you obtain in life. And as Bernard Shaw said "People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, make them. Lets strife to be achievers, though e might fail but success is failure turned inside out. "What is desperately needed in our life is that will the win and the ability to complete. Winners are willing to complete with the best anywhere, lets be our possible best self. When we have this mental awareness and set to work then the sky is no longer the limit.
v INVESTING IN YOUR MIND: "Pay the price of being with extraordinary men" Mike Murdock. Many spend money and time to look attractive well that's nice but we should try constantly to invest in our minds. A writer once said the best investment one can ever make is investment on self. The most valuable things in life are truly free or costless; an article in the newspaper, an inspirational book like the bible, a motivational book, all these cost less but we tend to over look them. Face the fact, when you invest junk into your mind, you reap junk, but when you invest quality knowledge, you reap a lifetime benefit. "Nurture your mind with great thoughts to believe in the heroic make heroes" Benjamin Disreali.
Look carefully at the closet associations in your life for that is the way you are heading" Bill Newman. This is a wise saying "You go like the company you keep. Your friends will either stretch your vision or choke your dreams: always have the right crowd around you, like Mary Kay Ash " In life you either go forward or backward, you don't stand still". The self-motivated person determines the direction to go, its all being the right man, in the right place in the time and Mr. Louis says the right sequence is the result. For the door we decide to open ad close each day determines our destiny. To be the man of the moment, we must open the right doors to yield positive results and like Mr. Steve Potter "The road to success has many tempting parking places". These tempting packing places can be applying the wrong principles into your life, and the knowledge imported into your life stretches you to success. Like Bill the motivated person must have that personal quality of initiative (knowledge), that drives and pushes him from a position of inertia to success. Let's strive to have the best of minds, lets develop quality and crytallised thinking, because if your do not invest in your life, you will be a slave to your surrounding. When your get up in the morning, seize the day before the day siezes you. Take time to determine a better life for yourself and permit nothing to deter you from achieving it. Stay blessed!
