Medium to High Volume Reaming

By Mark Daily

REAMING - MEDIUM TO HIGH VOLUME

MAXWELL-WETMORE TOOL CO. is proud to announce recent successes being realized with their newly developed high-volume, high-quality REAMER.

Using time tested , re-grindable/throwaway blade designs, along with new materials, construction techniques, and geometries, the results have been significantly increased production reates, and much lower perishable tooling costs.

Cycle times and change-oeversare greatly reduced, which improves output and uptime. A typical example is 60% improvement in cycle time along with 300-400% added tool life.

Also, a typical setup will allow for at least 10 regrinds, before replacing the blades only. And, these tool cost savings are being realized on the very same setup that has realized dramatically increased penetration rates.

Developed especially for use on cast and ductile iron, as well as steel, this same concept can be adapted as well to other materials such as aluminum and brass.

Offered with coolant-through features, this design can be used on any type of machine and with any type of holder.
